Member Web Presence Audit

SJE Bookkeeping LLC — Sharon Eilart · October 16, 2026
Prepared for BGN — confidential, shareable with the member

Overall verdict

SJE Bookkeeping has one of the strongest member websites in this audit set: modern, trust-rich, with transparent published pricing, four named testimonials, and working online booking. Sharon's 38+ years, MBA, Certified Professional Bookkeeper designation, and Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor status are prominent, and the cleanup and catch-up specialty is unmistakable. The gaps are narrower than they first look. There is no firm Facebook or Instagram and LinkedIn is a personal profile only, but her Alignable profile is live and populated. The real fixes are technical: a weak homepage title tag, two URLs that return 404, leftover template pricing tables on the services page, and no contact form.

Recommendations (prioritized)

  1. Fix the homepage title tag: change "Home | sjebookkeeping.com" to something like "Pittsburgh Bookkeeper | Cleanup and Catch-Up Services | SJE Bookkeeping". One edit, biggest SEO win available. Tighten the existing meta description at the same time; it is present but generic.
  2. Resolve the 404s: redirect /services/ to the existing /bookkeeping-services/ page, and point /contact-us/ at a new contact page or the booking page. Check Google Search Console for any other crawl errors.
  3. Remove the leftover template tables on /bookkeeping-services/: the three generic yearly plans for website-style services sit above the real packages and will confuse visitors. The SJE packages below them are clear and complete.
  4. Create a firm Facebook page (and Instagram if she will use it): even a basic, complete page with the site and booking link helps local discoverability in the Pittsburgh market. Then link both from the website footer next to LinkedIn and Alignable.
  5. Add a simple contact form on a dedicated contact page: booking, email, and phone already work well, but some visitors will not call or email cold. A short form captures them and gives /contact-us/ a real home.
  6. Tighten the industries list: lead with 3 to 5 strongest verticals and move the full list of 16 to a secondary spot. "We serve everyone" weakens the cleanup-specialist positioning that is working so well.
  7. Post on LinkedIn 1 to 2 times weekly: the FAQ content (messy-books myths, what cleanup actually involves, ProAdvisor tips) is ready-made post material, and her credential stack gives her authority few competitors can match. A LinkedIn company page would also give the firm a home beyond her personal profile.
  8. Keep the Alignable profile active: it is already claimed, populated, and carrying recommendations, and the site displays its Highly Recommended badge. A steady flow of recommendations there is worth more than another dormant profile elsewhere.
