Overall verdict

Lisa runs a genuinely solid small firm site with a clear niche, nonprofits and small businesses, one strong named testimonial, a full service menu, credential badges already on the homepage, and an online booking link. The foundation is better than most firms her size. But the site is showing its age in the details: the blog has not been touched since September 2022, the footer copyright still says 2021, there is no proper H1 for search engines, and two leftover template pages (About Us and Our Services) are still live with placeholder filler text. On social, Facebook exists with 194 followers and LinkedIn is a personal profile, her site also links to an X account, and no firm Instagram was found. The prescription is maintenance, not a rebuild: refresh the stale signals, remove or finish the template pages, pick a sustainable content cadence, and turn her happy clients into public reviews.

Website findings

AreaFindingStatus
PlatformBuilt on Wix, custom domain, HTTPS. Loads reliably.Good
Headline"BOOKKEEPING FOR NONPROFITS & SMALL BUSINESSES" — the niche is unmistakable within seconds. Strong.Good
ServicesFull menu spelled out: QuickBooks Online subscription, software integrations, transaction recording & classification, monthly reconciliation, monthly financial statements, monthly 1-hour consultation, QuickBooks support, historical clean-up & catch-up, QB consulting & training, invoicing & AR, bill pay & AP, budgeting & benchmarking, assisted payroll, 1099 analysis & filing, sales tax filing.Good
Trust signalsOne real testimonial on the homepage, from a named nonprofit treasurer (John S., Secretary/Treasurer, Schiller Institute NYC Chorus). Credentials section cites an accounting degree and nearly two decades of experience, and already displays credential badges linked to Credly, Intuit ProAdvisor and Xero. She also holds a public Xero advisor profile and a live Intuit ProAdvisor listing.Good
Call to actionCalendly 60-minute booking link on the site — visitors can book directly. Clear next step.Good
SEO basicsTitle tag is descriptive ("Small Service Business & Nonprofit Bookkeeping Services | Money Matters Bookkeeping | Albemarle") and a meta description is present. Weakness: no H1 tag found in the page markup — headings appear to be styled text, which weakens search ranking.Fix
FreshnessBlog has 9 posts; the latest is dated September 29, 2022 — over four years stale. A dead blog signals an inactive business to prospects.Stale
FooterCopyright line reads "© 2021". Five years out of date — a small detail prospects do notice.Fix
Contact easeCalendly booking, a contact form, email at moneymattersbkg@msn.com and phone at 704.259.5820 are all on the homepage. Albemarle, NC 28001 is shown in the contact section. Plenty of ways to reach her.Good
Leftover pagesThe /about-us and /our-services pages are still live with untouched Wix template placeholder text and a template team roster that is not her team. They sit in the site sitemap where search engines and visitors can find them.Fix

FacebookPage exists at facebook.com/moneymattersbkg — 194 followers (per the page's public metadata, verified Oct 16, 2026). Posting frequency and engagement could not be verified without login; a directory mirror lists occasional dated posts in 2026, but no regular cadence was established.Thin
LinkedInPersonal profile at linkedin.com/in/lisa-a-lewis, linked from her own site. No company page found. Posting activity not publicly verifiable.Thin
X (Twitter)Her homepage links to twitter.com/MoneyMattersBo1. The account itself could not be read during this audit, so its activity is unverified, but the channel exists and is linked from her site.Thin
InstagramNo firm Instagram found after direct search.Missing
ElsewhereActive on Alignable (recommends local businesses, a good local network signal). Public Xero advisor profile with phone listed, a live Intuit ProAdvisor listing, and an old 1 Million Cups profile founded April 16, 2018.Good

Follower count verified from the page's public metadata; post frequency and engagement are not publicly visible and were not invented.

Recommendations

  1. Remove or finish the leftover template pages. The /about-us and /our-services pages still show Wix placeholder filler text and a template team roster. Either replace them with her real story and services or unpublish them. This is the most urgent fix in this audit.
  2. Update the footer copyright to 2026. Five minute fix in Wix; removes an instant "is this business still active?" doubt.
  3. Decide the blog's fate: revive or remove. A blog untouched since September 2022 hurts more than it helps. Either commit to one short post per quarter (tax deadlines, nonprofit tips, her niche writes itself) or hide the blog page and put that energy into LinkedIn and Facebook posts instead. Do not leave it half alive.
  4. Add a real H1 to the homepage ("Bookkeeping for Nonprofits & Small Businesses in North Carolina") so search engines rank the page properly.
  5. Turn the testimonial into reviews, then ask for more. She has one strong named testimonial on the site and at least one public review already showing in a business listing (February 2024). Ask that quoted client, and her other happy clients, for a Google review with a direct link. Reviews are the highest return trust signal she can build.
  6. Check and complete her Google Business Profile. A business listing for the firm at 32515 NC-740, Albemarle, NC already shows in search results with her phone number. Confirm it is claimed under her account, then complete it with services, photos, and the Calendly link. It is how local "bookkeeper near me" searches are won.
  7. Pick a sustainable social rhythm: 2 posts per week on Facebook plus 1 per week on LinkedIn. Repurpose one idea across both; client wins, deadline reminders, and "what clean books actually look like" perform well for her audience. Decide whether the X account linked from her site is part of the plan or remove the link. Skip Instagram unless she enjoys it; two consistent platforms beat three sporadic ones.
  8. Keep the credential badges where they are, and keep them current. The homepage already displays her Credly, QuickBooks ProAdvisor and Xero linked badges, which is exactly right. The only job here is making sure the badge years and certifications stay up to date.

What we verified

Homepage, services, testimonials, footer, About Us and Our Services pages fetched and read directly from moneymattersbkg.com on Oct 16, 2026, in both raw markup and rendered form. Blog dates verified via the site's own RSS feed and rendered blog page (9 posts, latest Sep 29, 2022). Facebook page existence and 194 follower count verified from the page's public metadata on Oct 16, 2026. Her site's own outbound links confirm the LinkedIn personal profile, the X account, the Alignable profile, the Xero advisor profile, the Intuit ProAdvisor listing and the Credly page; the Alignable, Xero, ProAdvisor and 1 Million Cups profiles were also read directly. A Forwardly testimonial claim in an earlier draft could not be corroborated and has been removed. Instagram: none found. Post frequency and engagement on Facebook and LinkedIn are not publicly visible and are marked as unverified rather than guessed.
